Wishing You a Healthy and Happy Holiday Season

by Dr. Matt Brown-Ruegg on December 20, 2010

As the Holiday Season draws near, I am reminded of how blessed I am to be able to be a chiropractor and help sick people get well.  To a person in pain or who suffers with a health problem there is nothing they want more than to be free from their ailment.  If you know a person who would appreciate the opportunity to make steps toward better health, please send them to our clinic to see how chiropractic can help them move well to live better.  It could be the most important gift anyone gives them this holiday season.

Cold and Flu Season is here. Now what?

by Dr. Matt Brown-Ruegg on November 8, 2010

Get Adjusted Regularly.

You may have already noticed you are suffering fewer colds, avoiding the flu, or simply recovering from illness more quickly, since starting chiropractic care. There are scientific reasons for your experience, and continued tune-ups will keep all of the systems your nervous system controls healthy and strong.

Chiropractic adjustments restore proper spine function, which allows your nervous system – which is housed in your spinal canal – to perform optimally. Your nervous system controls every physiologic function of your body, including the immune system. Thus, regular adjustments are part of maintaining strong defenses against illness.

Winter is coming – take Vitamin D

by Dr. Matt Brown-Ruegg on November 1, 2010

Vitamin D is a natural antibiotic and antiviral supplement that helps your immune system fight off colds, flu and other infections.  Researchers now believe that because people get less sunlight in the wintertime, and therefore less Vitamin D, that is why colds, flu, and other infections happen more frequently in the winter – so make sure you are getting enough.
